Ashes 2019: Jofra Archer ‘all for’ battle with Australia’s Steve Smith

England pace bowler Jofra Archer is”around for the conflict” using Australia’s Steve Smith but he is”not trying to frighten” the batsman.
Smith missed the third Ashes Test at Headingley using concussion after a 92mph delivery from Archer struck on the neck him.
Smith is set to go back for the fourth Test at Old Trafford, with the five-match series tied at 1-1.
“He’s a hard nut. I am just here to get him out,” Archer told BBC Sport.
“I’m all for the struggle, but I am not going to get trapped in it either. There’s other players we need to get out as well.”
England maintained a dramatic triumph to level the show, when they win either of the two Tests but holders Australia will retain the Ashes.
Smith has become the standout player in the show so far 378 runs in 3 innings, including two decades at the very first Test at Edgbaston.
He had been forced to retire hurt 80 after he was hit by Archer at Lord’s and also took a blow to the arm in a fighting innings.
He returned to make 92 but was later replaced by concussion replacement Marnus Labuschagne at the second innings as Australia survived to draw on the Exam.
Asked if he believed Smith feared himArcher stated:”I don’t know. He came back into bat, he is a hard nut.
“He is a world-class batter – he is number one in the rankings. He’s probably one of the wickets we need to get, but maybe not the sole wicket.
“I am not wanting to frighten him either, I’m just trying to get him out”
Archer impressed by his speed and precision and made his Test debut in the next game of this show.
He’s taken 13 wickets in two Tests for England, such as 6-45 from the first innings at Headingley.
The 24-year-old qualified to play for England in March, made his debut in May, bowled the superb over as the hosts won the World Cup in July and made his Test debut.
His pace has set him apart from the remainder of the England attack, however Archer added:”It’s all right to bowl quickly but occasionally nobody is fearful of bowling.
“We have noticed that this show you have still got to get the guys out.”
